Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light. Matthew 11:28-30
Rest, Little One, rest in Me. I will take care of you. I will take care of all things. I am your God and I will never leave you. Even when you are old and gray, I will take care of you. I made you, so of course I will care for you (cf Isaiah 46-4). My care for you will never change. I am the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
Rest, Little One, rest in Me. Come to me and lay your burdens down. Spend a little time each day in rest. Cast all your cares upon me, because I care for you (cf 1 Peter 5:7). Come, sit, and learn from Me. You feel burdened from serving others and are anxious and worried about many things. Come, sit at My feet and listen—choose the better part of Your relationship with Me and humbly rest (cf Luke 10:40-42).
Rest, Little One, rest in Me. I can teach you to be meek and humble, but you must come to Me. You will see, when you can learn to be meek and humble, your pride will dissolve, and you will finally be able to rest. Your pride is the fuel for the fires of your fear and anxiety. When you learn to be meek and humble, you can rest in My care, and your heart will become peaceful and serene. Hand over your pride to Me; your pride is getting in the way of your peace. Let me pour My living water over the fires of your fears and anxieties (John 4:10) Let Me be your peace.
Rest, Little One, rest in Me. See, My yoke is easy and My burden is light (Matthew 11:30). There will still be work to be done, but it will become easy and light for you, because you will trust that I am there with you. You will still serve others, but if you choose to rest in Me, you will serve with love and peace in your heart. The bitterness will be gone, because you chose the better part and learned to rest. Become my humble servant and rest, Little One, rest in Me.
